WATAC Conferences

Early in its story the WATAC Committee decided to organize a WATAC Conference every second year. This year the Conference was held Friday 9th and Saturday 10th September – Keynote Speaker was Dr Patricia Fresen. Coming soon to this site will be a brief report & photos from that Conference. The May 2009 "Futuring Now" Conference was held in at Sydney Turf Club, Canterbury Park, Sydney. Speakers were Australian Bishop Geoffrey Robinson, Dr Elizabeth Julian RSM from New Zealand, Larissa Behrendt Professor of Law and Director of Research at the Jumbunna Indigenous House of Learning at the University of Technology and Phil Glendenning Director of the Edmund Rice Centre for Social Justice.

An essential part of all WATAC Conferences is the inter-active process of discussion and open forums. Rituals and prayerful reflections are key elements of these WATAC celebrations.
