WATAC Conferences
Early in its story the WATAC Committee decided to organize a WATAC Conference every second year. The most recent of these was held in July 2007 at Sydney Turf Club, Canterbury Park, Sydney. The keynote speakers were Joan Chittister osb, from America, and Ann Gilroy rsj from New Zealand.
The theme for the 2007 Conference was "Women Making the Vision Happen" and Joan Chittister’s talks addressed the topics of "Women Power and Peace" and "Spirituality and Contemporary Culture".
Ann Gilroy’s talks were entitled "Why Not Count the Women and Children?: Enough for all in Scarce Times" and "Mothers, Daughters and Church: Let There Be Hope"
