Early in its story the WATAC Committee decided to organize a WATAC Conference every second year and planning is underway for the 2013 Conference. An essential part of all WATAC Conferences is the inter-active process of discussion and open forums. Rituals and prayerful reflections are key elements of these WATAC celebrations. In September 2011 the Conference theme was Illumination in Darkness and our Keynote Speaker was Dr Patricia Fresen. Anne Lane pvbm was the facilitator and other speakers and presenters included Rosemary Breen, Margaret Finlay ibvm, Phil Glendenning, Marilyn Hatton, Margaret Hinchey rsm, Lisa Lyndon, Fr Greg Reynolds and Anna Warlow sgs.
At the Conference dinner Dr Fresen was interviewed about her journey by the well known Australian broadcaster Dr Rachael Kohn. You can listen to Rachael’s interview with Patricia for her program The Spirit of Things.
