In 1990 WATAC NSW decided to hold a celebratory luncheon at NSW Parliament House each year with a significant speaker addressing a meaningful theme. WATAC has always invited young people from schools to join us at this luncheon. It is always an informative and enjoyable event as well as a symbolic gesture, since women are gathering in the place of government where decisions are made and we are speaking out on issues which concern us as women.
The 2012 WATAC Luncheon at Parliament House was held on 9th May and our speaker Rosemary Breen addressed the theme ‘Acting Now to Change the Future’.
